General Age Chart

| Age/Height Group | Chest Circumference (cm) | Clothing Length (cm) | Sleeve Length (cm) |

| 2 years old / 90cm | 68-72 | 36-39 | 40-42 |

| 4 years old / 110cm | 72-78 | 39-41 | 42-44 |

| 8 years old / 130cm | 78-84 | 41-49 | 44-47

◆For larger head circumferences, pick up 5% more stitches at the back neckline. After decreasing stitches at the cuffs, increase the decreases twice more.

◆For chubby babies, add 4cm to the chest circumference. Pick up stitches at the armpits in a 4:3 ratio.

Three Customization Tips

1. Measure with a soft measuring tape: The length is from the center of the back to the hip line, plus 5cm for chest circumference (allowing for movement).

2. Pattern gauge: 4.0mm gauge for a 10cm² swatch. Openwork pattern: 22 stitches x 30 rows (Spring/Autumn style). Plain knit: 28 rows (Warm style).

3. Pattern Adjustment: Round neck Pullover: Increase 8 stitches every 5 rows for the yoke.
Cardcutor: Leave 6 stitches for the placket in single ribbing, chest circumference + 2-3cm.
Raglan sleeves: Sleeve length 3cm.

Yarn usage reference:
◆Small size (80cm): 4 skeins of cashmere blend (50g/skein)
◆Medium size (100cm): 5.5 skeins (prepare an extra skein of wool yarn)
◆Large size (120cm): 6 skeins (fine double-strand yarn + 20% extra)

Sizes for elderly sweaters need to be adjusted flexibly according to style, wearing needs, and individual body type. Here are some common sweater styles, their knitting size references, and important notes:

Basic Crew Neck Sweater
Suitable for: People of average build (160-165cm tall)

Size Reference

Chest: 92cm (measured flat, suitable for a chest circumference of approximately 87-92cm)
Length: 65cm (standard length covers hips)
Sleeve Length: 45cm (measured from under the armpit, suitable for average arm length, covers wrist)

Mid-Length Sleeve Sweater
Size Classification: This style is available in 5 sizes from XS to 5XL. Specific dimensions are shown in the table below.

XS 81~86 86.5 60 S 91~97 97.5 62 M 102~107 108 64 L 112~117 119 66 XL 122~127 129.5 68
Features: Bust increases by approximately 10cm per size increment, length increases by 2cm per size increment, sleeve length is fixed at three-quarter length (usually 35~40cm).

Cardigans
Special Size Design: Due to the need to consider the overlap of the placket, the bust size of cardigans laid flat is significantly larger than the regular size, covering multiple sizes. Specific dimensions are shown in the table below.

34 81 99.5 49 36 86 104 50 38 91 110 51 40 96 114.5 51 42 102 120.5 52 44 107 125 53 46 112 129 54 48 117 135.5 54 50 122 142 54.5 52 127 148 55.5

Notes: The flat chest measurement should be 18-21cm larger than the recommended chest measurement to ensure the placket closes naturally without feeling tight; the short length design (49-55.5cm) is suitable for pairing with high-waisted bottoms.

Knitting Size Selection and Adjustment Suggestions

Measure your net body measurements: Use a soft measuring tape to measure the net bust circumference horizontally around the fullest part of your chest. Measure the net garment length from the center of the back of the neck to the desired hem position.

Calculate the knitting size: Lay your chest circumference flat = net bust circumference + 8~15cm (adjust according to desired looseness). Cardigans require an additional 10cm for placket overlap.

Adjust elasticity: Knit ribbed areas (such as neckline and cuffs) at 90%~95% of the net size to avoid deformation.

In addition, the following points should be noted when knitting a sweater:

Accurate Measurement: Ensure accurate measurements to create a well-fitting sweater.

Consider Yarn Characteristics: Different yarns have different elasticity and stretch. Adjust the knitting size accordingly. For example, for fluffy yarns such as wool and mohair, it is recommended to knit 1~2 sizes larger, while for low-elasticity yarns such as cotton and blends, knit according to the actual size.

Dynamic adjustment: Adjustments are made dynamically based on the actual situation during the knitting process. For example, if the shoulder width is large, the armhole depth needs to be increased accordingly.
